Education:
Hi! My name is Marcy Langworthy and I am a certified holistic health counselor specializing in plant-based diets. I am also a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I received my BA in Gender and Media Studies from Hunter College. Shortly thereafter, I began training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City.
For years, I studied the ins and outs of plant-based nutrition to ensure my own health and well-being. As a counselor, I’m so happy to be helping others transition from the Standard American Diet to a more healthful and vital way of eating and living.
I’ve participated in various workshops and seminars to enhance my knowledge and skills as a health counselor. Some of the my more recent ventures include Landmark Forum, Victoria Moran lectures and T. Colin Campbell webinars.
Personal Information:
I have been living, loving and learning in NYC for the past five years, but I am originally from the Adirondacks in upstate New York. I love to cook, dance and travel. You will often find me at my neighborhood coffee shop with a soy latte and a good book.
I cherish quality time with friends and family. Over the years, I’ve taken an interest in raw food prep, yoga, animal rights issues, food politics and gender studies. And I can never, ever get enough of my partner, my kitty or NPR.
My favorite foods include hummus, avocado, rainbow chard, quinoa, garlic, coconut anything, raw chocolate, and kombucha.
.I feel blessed to have discovered my passion for holistic nutrition and I’m very excited to help others embrace a new level health and happiness! I hope this blog will inspire you to take charge of your health and your life.
I also send out bimonthly newsletters on various health topics, please contact me if you would like to be added to my mailing list.
Be Well,
Marcy
